SUMMARY
Bering Straits Logistics Services, a subsidiary of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a full time Quality Officer for our CoMSupCen contract in Lexington, KY. This position is accountable for meeting contract requirements, company policies, procedures and safety performance standards in compliance with all federal, state, local and company safety regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee requirements completed by all departments of the organization according to the Quality Assurance Plan
 Perform inspections and evaluations on a monthly basis according to Department SOG, MIL-STDs, Army Regulations and Bering Straits policies
Identify weakness, defects in the system and evaluate possible improvements with all departments submit Corrective Action Reports to management to discuss with employees for improvement
Follow-up, inquire and report all Report of Discrepancies submitted internal and externally
Monitor the Maintenance Aging report for Team Readiness in the field
Review the Shelf-life program for deficiencies
Research and work with the Material Management department when Material Release Denials occur to determine the cause
Prepare executive presentations for the National Guard Operational reports
Maintain employee training logs and files
Run reports from the inventory system as needed
Any other duties assigned by the Site Director
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Associates Degree or five (5) years’ related experience                                              
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
General knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality management
Knowledge of Army Regulations
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Basic analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Interpret supply information and make informed logistic decisions
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and written, with all customers at all levels of command

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting unless a warehouse issue occurs. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
