SSSD has an opening for a **Receiving Inspector 2** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Redondo Beach CA** .
As a Receiving Inspector, you will inspect purchased Electrical/Mechanical parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements. You will inspect for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers, as well as performing visual inspection for defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. The Receiving Inspector verifies conformity to program and purchase order requirements, as well as engineering requirements defined in specifications and/or blueprints and makes pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. Records of inspection results are maintained in our ERP system.
**_Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:_**
Review and comprehend engineering and program requirements
Inspect parts using inspection equipment such as microscopes, micrometers, telescope gauges, and optical comparators
Conduct and coordinate tests for electrical and mechanical properties and prohibited material analysis

Flexible Schedules: For example, some roles offer the ability to work a 9/80 work schedule, which allows an employee to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off of work
**Basic Qualifications:**
Minimum High School diploma or GED with 2 years Aerospace or Electronics Manufacturing and/or Inspection experience
Ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints
Familiarity with quality and inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and other hand tools related to inspection
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Government Security Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Familiarity with SAP and/or MES data systems
Catia and/or PDM experience
Active DOD Government Security Clearance
Salary Range: $45,900.00 - $76,500.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
