Job Summary:
Responsible for inspections and witnessing of activities associated with the manufacturer of sourced goods, services, and equipment at the vendor´s premises.
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, specifications and Quality requirements stated on BoMs to evaluate / inspect or witness activities with products in manufacturing.
Samples products for inspection / testing at specified stages in the production process to check dimensions, performance and mechanical, electrical or chemical characteristics.
Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capabilities.
Witnesses destructive and non-destructive testing on materials, parts or products to measure performance, life or material characteristics.
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Liase with Customers, third party inspectors, certifying bodies, and all levels of a vendor´s org. structure to resolve manufacturing issues that arise.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
5 years minimum of engineeringor quality experience
Experience in special processes related to manufacturing (Welding, NDE, Heat Treatment, & Coating)
Experience in Metrology / Calibration and the use of measurement tools.
Must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship
