Job summary:
Summary: Ensure that customers both internal and external receive the quality emergency vehicle that they expect by inspecting the emergency vehicle and making any necessary repairs/corrections prior to shipment.
Responsibilities:
Inspection of finished ambulances to determine defects and conformance to applicable standards and regulations; perform electrical load, and function testing, perform road tests.
Must be able to perform both electrical and cosmetic inspections and be proficient at both.
Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.
Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Keep daily records on scheduling.
Good interpersonal skills required to communicate problems verbally.
Perform other tasks as required.
Ability to rotate and learn multiple quality inspection gates.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments daily as required.
Ability to assist quality supervisor in quality and production improvements.

Requirements
(education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):
Previous experience in quality control or quality assurance environment preferred.
Must be familiar with all quality standards, and test protocols.
Must possess good mechanical ability and component operation functions.
Understands drive trains and power unit operation and able to troubleshoot.
Need knowledge of basic 12-volt electricity.
Must be able to effectively interpret electrical schematics.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Knowledge and proper use of all safety equipment provided.
Close attention to detail
Must possess good mechanical ability and component operation functions.
