From our extensive facilities in Whittier, California and Downey, California, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. serves more than two million residents in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and throughout the San Gabriel Valley.   The Administrator will be responsible for development and implementation of strategies that improve quality and patient safety throughout the hospital.  The position demonstrates an ability to work with Medical Staff, improving overall quality and safety of patient care.  The position coordinates with hospital Accreditation to ensure quality/processes of care is aligned role to meet and remain compliant with requirements of all applicable licensure, accreditation, and certification agencies and organizations.  This position coordinates with the hospital Risk Management Program to further patient safety initiatives.  The Administrator will ensure clinical and operational performance improvement initiatives are coordinated across functions and aligned with strategic initiatives across the organization.  This role requires an exceptional leader with proven ability to utilize strong process and data-driven analytical skills to identify the processes, systems, and/or practices that lead to sub-optimal performance and successfully resolve these issues through process simplification, reengineering, and change management.  Is able to incorporate Lean processes and tools into all aspects of performance improvement and demonstrate the ROI of such work. SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED   Analytical skills,  Working knowledge of CIHQ, Title 22, CMS Conditions of Participation, CMA standards and other regulatory agency requirements.  Experience in survey preparation, process and continuous readiness; developing corrective action plans in response to survey findings. Strong knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement tools and techniques. Effective written/oral communication and presentation skills. A proven and exceptional leader who combines exceptional relationship building skills, communication and interpersonal skills; analytical and problem-solving skills with well-developed business acumen to lead through influence.    Successful experience leading broad-scale change management and process improvement efforts. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including but not limited to:  Developing dynamic, constructive working relationships and partnerships with operational and physician partners. Willingness to challenge the “status quo. Excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, listening and communication skills) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents,     stakeholders and audiences. Demonstrated political savvy – Ability to operate in politically complex situations and remain effective; must have personal influence and credibility to be able to work from behind the     scenes within a politically complex process. Solves problems from a Patients First perspective. Relationship driven, consultative, a team player, able to effectively facilitate. Decisiveness, action-orientation, personal integrity, capability to persevere in difficult situations, and focus on strategic leadership issues. Knowledge of hospital delivery system operations. Excellent management skills; serve as a coach and mentor to staff. Resonate with a mission driven organization and thrive working in that type of environment. Required:   Current CA RN license Master’s degree or equivalent in nursing health care administration, or industrial engineering required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree required. A minimum of five years of experience in the health care industry with a background in operations and performance improvement. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma required. Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a hospital setting with involvement with the tools and processes of continuous quality improvement.  Three to five years clinical experience are required. 2 Yrs management experience is required.
