Description
The Software Quality Testing Engineer 2 thoroughly evaluates the software products according to the business standards or function requirements. The Software Quality Testing Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
The Software Quality Testing Engineer 2 isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects and verifies fixes. Develops test data and procedures for ensuring the software products meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Very familiar with the software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
Oversight of CRE (Correspondence Routing Engine) and automation related testing related to:
ODM rule testing resulting from continued MHK enhancements to transfer and intake services
Humana IT projects that impact Resolution Team
Continued Digital Structured Submission CRE support
This oversight will include:
Developing a test strategy for each project, to include UAT and PIV/PPV
Evaluating requirements and estimating capacity
Ensuring a strategy for test data
Managing offshore testing assignments
Automation Execution
Manual Test case Execution
Defect management
Escalating issues and demonstrating issues as needed to the project teams
Communication strategy and execution, to include facilitation of daily UAT calls & proper cascading
Facilitating the Production Turns from a production validation perspective
Additional assignments as needed determined on business need
Required Qualifications
Testing experience
Ability to read and interpret business and technical requirements
Able to prioritize assignments with little guidance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem solving abilities
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work-At-Home Requirements
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload) is required.
A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

User Acceptance Testing Experience
Automation Testing Experience
ODM/Routing Rules Experience
Experience with Qtest
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio

Occasional off hour and weekend support required.
