Senior Quality Test Engineer

Aon has approximately 50,000 employees in 120 countries.Position - Senior Quality Test Engineer Location -Bangalore /Delhi NCR Responsible for the test planning of multiple modules to create test environment and test data. Reviews requirements to confirm testability, identify gaps, and create test cases linked to the requirements. Captures and analyzes defects and problem areas to identify key quality risks and partners with the team to test applications.  Leads defect triage meetings and ensures that plan exists for closure of critical defects. Signs-off on the quality of the solution ensuring that it meets client requirements and acceptance criteria as defined by the business. Reports overall status to relevant stakeholders and ensures accuracy. Provides root cause analysis and corrective actions on the defects found and implements the learnings. Provides review, coaching, and support of IT Specialist work. Plans for User Acceptance Testing, where applicable. Understanding of test methodologies, relevant project processes, and tools (Agile/Waterfall, toolsets). Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability and willingness to learn more about the tools specific to the assigned projects. Manual testing experience. Basic understanding of Project Lifecycle. Knowledge of database and SQL when applicable. Knowledge of the domain where applicable. When specified by the manager for the project, experience in automation testing, data interchange, data analysis, reporting, and web services testing. Strong analytical skills.
