Role Overview The Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is part of a tightly integrated, hands-on quality team developing testing framework and structure to support our real-time, multithreaded broadcast video applications.
In this role, Software QA Engineer works closely with the development team and provides technical leadership in testing to ensure the release of the highest quality products, including developing, maintaining, and implementing test strategies, plans, procedures, and cases. In addition, the Software QA Engineer drives the full software project lifecycle of each software project from gathering requirements to post implementation review and continually introduces improvements to streamline QA and development of processes and procedures.
Qualifications To qualify, interested candidates must possess:
*2 years of team-based software quality assurance and software testing experience in web technologies. * Good understanding of any scripting language for automation. * Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies * Experience with Linux OS * Stellar organization, detail orientation, written and verbal communication skills, and problem solving and diagnostic abilities * Superior project management and analytical skills * Successful track record of driving successful software product integrations and facilitating teams to achieve quality solutions * Willingness to work a flexible schedule in a team-based environment * Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a similar field of studies
- must know Java or C , web technologies, and Unix/Linux
The profile is for Agile testers, which will include coding and testing activities. So the candidate should know Java, Web Technologies. Our platform is Unix based and it is a must for the candidates to know Unix. We can also look at Jr developers who want to venture out into testing as well.
