Clinical Quality Assurance Manager
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.
Are you an experienced Clinical Quality Assurance Professional and would like the chance to set up a Quality Assurance function from scratch?
Are you someone who constantly looks for ways to improve systems and processes and would like the chance to join a not-for-profit Clinical Trial organisation at the start and before we launch our first trial?
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is an independent not-for-profit organisation, designing and delivering large, global randomized clinical trials of treatments for common and other life-threatening diseases. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is led by the epidemiologist and physician, Professor Sir Martin Landray, who has over 20 years’ experience of leading large, randomized clinical trials as part of a team at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Population Health. Most recently, he has been leading the landmark RECOVERY clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19 which identified that treatment with the inexpensive steroid drug dexamethasone, improved the chances of survival for the most severe cases. It’s an incredibly rewarding place to work where you’ll be surrounded by supportive colleagues who are experts in their own field of excellence. It’s an exciting time to start with us.
More about the role
As a
Clinical Quality Assurance Manager
at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., you will be the person who comes in and sets up our QA team from the ground up, giving you the autonomy to redefine how quality assurance is done. If you have found some of the systems and processes you encountered in previous roles, slowed progress, or made it harder to reach the desired outcomes as quickly as they could have been, then at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. you will find that you have autonomy and freedom to do things differently, to bypass unnecessary steps whilst also ensuring that essential compliance and safeguarding is met. You will recruit, nurture and build your own collaborative team making sure they all have the same vision as you, of making our Quality Management System and Standard Operating procedures as streamlined and as safe and as low risk as possible, and you’ll be working with people across a variety of different companies. You’ll be able to make things happen quickly and be involved in genuinely ground-breaking clinical trials.
About you
You are someone who likes to find ways to do things differently, and who constantly seeks new ways to streamline and improve systems and processes whilst maintaining essential safeguarding and legal frameworks. Uncertainty and change don’t faze you and you would welcome the chance to adapt your experience to an environment where you can apply your knowledge in a creative and imaginative way.
Perhaps you are currently working in academia, the pharmaceutical industry or contract research and would like to work for an organisation where agile working and a desire to do things differently is encouraged and where decisions are made and actioned quickly. You will already be experienced in a Clinical Quality Assurance Management role and will have strong people and line management skills, experience in conducting external audits as well as creating and managing Trial Management Files.
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is committed to becoming a diverse and inclusive organisation. We are open to discussions on flexible working arrangements. We strongly encourage applications from people from all backgrounds. For disabled applicants, please contact us to let us know of any adjustments we can make to support you during the recruitment process. We are currently a remote working organisation but plan to move to hybrid working in the future. We welcome applications from locations across the UK (applicants must have the right to work in the UK).
As **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. grows and depending on the nature of the trials we do expect that there will be both national and international travel (this will vary and is dependent on the needs of future trials).
